Governor’s Ball is set to return in June of next year. Last year’s festival featured Tyler, The Creator, Lil’ Wayne and other major acts. In the upcoming year, there will be a few changes made to the overall festival. In particular, one change has caught the attention of potential attendees.
Governor’s Ball has announced that any attendees under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. With that being said, this policy applies to the age the attendee is at the time of the festival. In other words, a 17 year old can buy an individual ticket and attend the festival alone if they turn 18 by the time they arrive at Randall’s Island.
Tom Russell and Jordan Wolowitz of Founders Entertainment said, “Nothing is more important to us than the quality of the festival experience, and the changes we are implementing this year come directly from fan feedback and conversation.”
They added, “We are always listening, always evolving, and always trying to give our fans and our city the best festival they could ask for.”
Governor’s Ball will take place from June 5-7, 2020. The lineup will be announced in early 2020. Tickets will go on sale beginning December 2nd 2019.
