Swifties aren’t the only ones enjoying the ongoing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce public romance. During a recent interview with CBS Mornings, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell believes the couple’s relationship is “great for the league.”
“To see that they have a connection, now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor,” Goodell said.
“I think it’s great for the league to have that kind of attention. So we welcome it.”
Goodell is not only a fan of the couple’s public romance, but he also admires each party individually. During his conversation with the hosts of CBS Mornings, Goodell described Swift as an “unbelievable artist” and Kelce an “unbelievable player.”
“Listen, they’re happy. They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That’s great in and of itself,” Goodell continued.
“But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways.”
Swift wasn’t able to be at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, November 20 as Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs lost a tough game against the Philadelphia Eagles and Kelce’s brother, Jason. The chart-topping star is currently wrapping up a run of shows with Sabrina Carpenter in Sao Paulo, Brazil from November 24 through November 26. From there, she’ll take a break before heading out back on the road in Tokyo, Japan in February. Meanwhile, Kelce will focus on helping the Chiefs push for back to back Super Bowl titles.
