“Three charitable organizations we’ve found are providing essential relief on the ground: the Lebanese Red Cross, Impact Lebanon, and Baytna Baytak. We will be donating these three $100,000 and hope that others will help in any way they can,” the couple added.
Tuesday’s explosion in the Lebanese city killed more than 100 people and injured 5,000 others. Moreover, 300,000 people lost their homes. As a result, the country’s government has declared a two-week state of emergency. Making matters worse, the country was already experiencing economic turmoil prior to 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate exploding in the capital city.
