Gary Neal will be returning to home to where he was born and played college ball to sign with the Washington Wizards.
The shooting guard was born in Baltimore and played for Towson in college. Next season will be Neal’s 6th in the league, and he will look to bring a lot of veteran experience to a youth-based team.

Even after the signing, the Wizards still have their mid-level exception available, which means they still have an opportunity to sign David West. Currently, that appears to be the team’s first priority, and this signing does not take any chance of that happening away.

In Washington, Neal is going to have to shoot the ball similar to how Rasual Butler did this season. As long as he is able to knock down shots after a John Wall drive and dish, this signing is going to be a huge success for both the Wizards and Neal.
