New York’s own French Montana is here to bless us yet again with a new project. This time around, he has delivered CB5. The 19-track project comes with features from New York natives like Benny The Butcher, Chinx, Max B, Pop Smoke, A$AP Rocky and Jim Jones. He also links up with rising artists like LGP Qua, Lil’ Mosey and Jack Harlow.
The newly released project is led by the Pop Smoke assisted single, “Double G.” French Montana had worked with the late star prior to his death, but this is their first collaboration.
“Pop was a brother to me,” he said.
“We developed a friendship well before he became a household name and connected through the streets of NY music and our talents. Today, I’m honored to continue to uphold his legacy with a song that we made while we were in the studio having the best memories and visuals that I know he would have loved.”
French Montana also put together posthumous collaborations with his late friend, Chinx. Chinx was killed in a tragic shooting in 2015. In the years since his passing, French has worked to keep his legacy alive through music and other work.
