NBA Picks 3/7/22
There are times in a gambler’s life where you start to question whether any of it is worth it. Is the universe against you? Have the basketball gods forsaken you? Last week was one of those times. We took the weekend to recharge the batteries and remember that its not about how many times you fall, but how many times you get back. We are .500 for the season and have a chance to go on a late-season run. Today is the first day of the rest of our life. Let’s get after it with the NBA Picks 3/7/22.
Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs (-2) 8:40 p.m EST
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Tonight’s slate has huge spreads. This is one of the only true coin flip games. We are betting on LeBron James’ desperation winning out over whatever it is the San Antonio Spurs are doing.
Pick: Los Angeles Lakers +2 (-110 via DraftKings)
Utah Jazz at Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) 8:40 p.m EST
These two teams are evenly matched. Neither team is equipped to defend what the other team does best and it will come down to whether or not role players hit open three-point shots. We will give the Dallas Mavericks role players the edge since they are at home.
Pick: Dallas Mavericks -1.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves (-15) 7:10 p.m EST
I’m old enough to remember when the Portland Trail Blazers were playing well post-trade deadline. Apparently, the Trail Blazers brass remembers as well and have decided to reverse course. It’s officially tank season in Portland so we are taking the Minnesota Timberwolves.
