It’s happening! The long-awaited, ten-part Michael Jordan documentary, The Last Dance, is set to be released this June through ESPN. The project was first teased in 2018. Created with the help of Netflix and ESPN, the series chronicles “one of the greatest icons and most successful dynasties in sports history, Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls.”

Within the ten-parts of the project, over 500 hours of documentary footage was available to the creators. In addition, The Last Stand features cameos from former President Barack Obama, Nas, Justin Timberlake, Magic Johnson, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and many others. Not to mention, Jordan signed off on the documentary and agreed to participate for interviews throughout the process.
The Last Dance will mark ESPN’s first major multi part documentary since the release of 2016’s O.J.: Made In America. While we wait for more details about the upcoming documentary, check out the film’s first incredible trailer above.
