The worldwide leader in sports has unveiled its game and studio coverage plans for the upcoming NBA season. The broadcast crew will be led by play-by-play announcers Mike Breen, Ryan Ruocco, Mark Jones and Dave Pasch with support from Doris Burke, Doc Rivers, JJ Redick, Richard Jefferson, Hubie Brown and Bob Myers. ESPN has also enlisted reporters like Lisa Salters, Cassidy Hubbarth, Monica McNutt, Katie George, Rosalyn Gold-Onwude and Jorge Sedano to support their coverage.
ESPN’s in-studio coverage consists of its weekday, flagship show, NBA Today, and its pre-game and post-game broadcasts of NBA Countdown. Hosted by Malika Andrews, the weekday editions of NBA Today will feature analysts Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins, Chiney Ogwumike and senior writers Zach Lowe and Ramona Shelburne. Andrews will also host NBA Countdown with Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon and former Golden State Warriors President Bob Myers.
The network’s game broadcasts will be presented by Doc Rivers, Doris Burke and Mike Breen. Assisting Burke, Breen and Rivers, Ryan Ruocco, JJ Redick, and Richard Jefferson will make up the alternate broadcast crew.
The 2023-2024 NBA season will kick off on October 24 with a doubleheader on TNT. At this time, it is unclear when ESPN will present its first broadcast of the upcoming NBA season.
