Rematch will be the word of the day on Saturday, December 7 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Emanuel Navarrete will return to the ring for a second fight with Oscar Valdez. Navarrete and Valdez fought for the WBO Super Featherweight Championship in 2023 and all three judges delivered the following scorecards in favor of Navarrete: 119-109, 118-110 and 116-112. Since then, their careers have headed in opposite directions. Navarrete fought Robson Conceicao to a draw last November and lost to Denys Berinchyk in a lightweight title bout six months ago. Meanwhile, Valdez stopped Liam Wilson in the seventh round to win the interim WBO Super Featherweight Championship that Navarrete left behind to challenge Berinchyk.
Valdez will not be the only fighter looking to settle the score. Robeisy Ramirez will be looking for revenge against featherweight titleholder Rafael Espinoza. Espinoza upset Ramirez to win the WBO Featherweight Championship last December. Ramirez bounced back with a win against Brandon Benitez while Espinoza stopped Sergio Chirino Sanchez in June.
Both fights will be broadcast via ESPN by way of Top Rank.
