Throughout the night, the Hollywood elite will celebrate the work of HBO’s Succession, Hulu’s Ramy and many other fantastic projects. While those awards and moments will steal the night, there are a few other moments designated to honor not only the work of this year, but the work of the past two decades. Tonight, talk show host, comedian, actress and entertainment legend Ellen DeGeneres was honored for her lifetime achievements through the Carol Burnett Award.

During her outstanding career, the Louisiana native has played iconic role of Dory in Finding Nemo, toured the world performing comedy and hosted her own talk show for over two decades. Not to mention, she’s worked alongside legends such as Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac and Matt Groening Above all else, she stands out as the first openly gay talk show on network television.
