
Ella Mai’s debut solo album has officially gone platinum. The U.K. native celebrated the news with a Tweet that reads, “My debut album is platinum! My dreams really are my reality. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.” The news comes just five months after the release of her first project. Her self titled album came with sixteen tracks and star studded features from Chris Brown, H.E.R and John Legend. Behind the scenes, DJ Mustard, Bryan-Michael Cox and PartyNextDoor all contributed to the production and songwriting on the album.

Ella Mai can now add this plaque to her crowded trophy room. Ella Mai earned platinum plaques for both “Boo’d Up” and “Trip”. Ella Mai was also featured on Meek Mill’s number one album, Championships. Most recently, the talented singer earned her first Grammy Award for “Best R&B Song” at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Ella Mai will continue her rise to the top with the second leg of The Debut Tour. Ella Mai will be making stops in Los Angeles, Oakland, Charlotte and Memphis. She’ll also be making her debut at Coachella and Broccoli City Music Festival before opening up for Ariana Grande on The Sweetener Tour this Fall in the U.K.
