E-Los has been all around the world making fans scream and turning double entendres into dollar signs, but he’s still searching for one elusive thing — affection. Gearing up for his long awaited project, Casanova, the Boston native offers his most vulnerable track yet. The self-produced track finds the Boston native pleading with his significant other to love him for who he is when the microphone is turned off and the studio is closed.
“‘Affection’ is me pouring my heart out. It’s about being real with a woman who keeps breaking me down,” he told Medium Creative Agency. “We’ve been through so much, but I’m still searching for her love; still needing her to see me as a person, not just the persona I’ve created as an artist.”
The latest single is a sub-three minute late-night confessional in which E-Los dresses his most heartfelt thoughts in velvety synths and a beat that pulses like a slow heartbeat. With each verse, the emerging artist digs deeper into emotions until he hits a tipping point and sings, “I’m just a man. Girl, I need some attention. [I’m] just a man. Girl, I need some affection.” In a day and age when Rap and R&B are blended frequently, E-Los’s “Affection” stands out because of its authenticity and honesty.
“Affection” sets the stage for the Boston artist’s forthcoming project, Casanova. Prior to the release of “Affection,” E-Los had been active, releasing “Searching,” “Unloyal” and “Scarlett’s Letter” with ELHAE. Not to mention, he stopped by The Rockwell in late 2024 for a homecoming. Fresh off an event at the Berklee College of Music, E-Los has all of the momentum in the world heading into the spring.
