North Carolina is officially on the map! The Carolinas have always had a presence in modern day Hip-Hop, but this year has been something special. This year, Cole has continued his run of features, DaBaby has hopped on a number one record and Little Brother popped up with a surprise album. This week, three of the hottest artists from the Tar Heel state linked up for the “Under The Sun” music video.
DaBaby, Lute and J. Cole form a big three that can’t be stopped. J. Cole kicks off the video by rapping his video while walking a few dogs. Then, Lute steps in to spit a few bars while standing on a fire escape. Closing the show, DaBaby raps his verse donning the classic Charlotte Hornets throwback jersey.
He raps, “I got a glock with a d*ck, let’s get physical/They gon’ be hollerin’ out, R.I.P and they missin’ you/They got me started, I might as well finish it/I’m from Charlotte, you know how these n*ggas do.”
