Former President Donald Trump is expected to sit down with Kristen Welker for a full-length interview in Bedminster, New Jersey. The pre-taped discussion is scheduled for broadcast during an upcoming episode of Meet The Press. If all goes according to plan, it will be the first time that he’s appeared on the Sunday morning show since 2019.
The former reality show host may not have participated in the most recent debate of Republican presidential candidates, but he has made himself available for interviews. Last month, he sat down with Tucker Carlson in Bedminster, New Jersey for a lengthy interview. This Thursday, he’s expected to appear on SiriusXM with Megyn Kelly. It is also the first time that he’s spoken with radio show host since the 2016 presidential race.
Each of these interviews is set in a time period in which Trump continues to fight a variety of legal battles. In New York, he’s embroiled in a civil lawsuit with E. Jean Carrol and a “hush money” payment legal fiasco involving Stormy Daniels. Further south, he’s facing election interference charges in both Georgia and Washington, D.C. All the while, he continues with his campaign to become the next President of the United States.
