Vice President Kamala Harris was not the only candidate to make their way through the battleground state of Pennsylvania. On Monday, November 4, 2024, former President Donald Trump held not one, but two rallies in Reading and Pittsburgh. While addressing voters, he put the ball in their court heading into Election Day.
“We’re certainly on the two- or three-yard line, and the only way we can blow it is if you blow it. I’ve given you the ball. I mean, you’ve got to go and vote,” he told voters.
In both rallies, Trump touched on many of the subjects he commented on in the past, including tariffs and election administration. Additionally, he drifted off into a monologue about the southern border, those seeking to enter the United States and a fictional league in which migrants would wrestle mixed martial artists in the UFC.
“Those Penn State guys, I wanted them to wrestle the migrants. I told, you know the UFC, Dana White? They killed me on this. I told Dana to set up your league of champions… and a migrant league. At the end, I want the migrant to go against the champion,” he said.
“And I think migrant might actually win,” Trump said at one point. “That’s how nasty some of these guys are.”
On Tuesday, November 5, the former President will head south for an Election Day watch party in Florida.
“We expect hundreds, if not thousands, of media members and visitors to descend on the city because of election night,” West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James said.
