The Miami Dolphins have added Lawrence Timmons via free agency. The 10 year veteran will be joining a new franchise for the first time in his career after spending his entire career with Pittsburgh thus far. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news.

Almost all of this deal is virtually guaranteed which means he is unlikely to be released during his Dolphins tenure. Timmons has been with the Steelers since they drafted him in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He has been nothing but the consummate Steeler representing that tough AFC North brand.
In 2016, Timmons had 114 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two interceptions. He hasn’t missed a start since 2011. Timmons will likely pay outside linebacker in this new Miami system with Kiko Alonso and Koa Misi as the other two starters. Timmons will head into age 32 as a still really productive force.
