Doechii is ready to fully step into her next era as a member of Top Dawg Entertainment. This weekend, she delivered her debut EP with the label, She/Her/Black B*tch. Following the release of 2020s Oh The Places You’ll Go, the five-pack includes contributions from SZA, Rico Nasty and jst ray.
“It’s called She/Her/Black B*tch,” Doechii told MTV about She/Her/Black B*tch.
“In my Instagram bio, I put those as my pronouns because I’m really attached to the phrase, ‘Black b*tch.’ It’s something that I feel like I’ve heard a lot in my life. It’s something that people have tried to tear me down with and I’ve kind of tapped into that energy and realized what it really means to be a Black b*tch. Now, I really love it. I feel like these four songs kind of explain the four layers of the Black b*tch.”
