The Arizona Cardinals and left tackle DJ Humphries have agreed to a three-year contract extension worth up to $66.8 million. This deal will keep him under contract with the team through the 2025 season with $34 million in guaranteed money. It will also pay him $21 million in year one of his new contract. After the team extended quarterback Kyler Murray it was important that they also secure his protection long-term as well. DJ Humphries has spent his entire six-year career with the Arizona Cardinals after being selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was named to the Pro Bowl this past season for the first time in his career. The hope is that he can become a constant top-level left tackle and continue to keep quarterback Kyler Murray safe and upright. Arizona has invested a lot of time and money into Murray and keeping him healthy and throwing the ball is vital. This team wants to win a Super Bowl with this core group of players.

The talented left tackle will likely play most or all of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. This deal will keep him on the roster until at least 2025. DJ Humphries is incredibly talented and has earned this new deal. A Super Bowl is not guaranteed, but the team is making sure their players are taken care of, and hopefully for them that leads to wins down the road.
