With the end of the NBA regular season nearly upon us and the postseason looming, teams who have had their seasons cut short will prepare for the 2017 NBA Draft. This year’s class boasts elite potential and a deep player pool. The top of the pecking order is dominated by big-time guards such as Lonzo Ball, Markelle Fultz, and Josh Jackson who are all expected to be taken with the top three picks.
Though these three players are considered the cream of the crop for their class, more and more stud players declare for the draft every day, only adding to the already immense talent. After Oregon University’s Tyler Dorsey declared for the draft yesterday, teammate Dillon Brooks announced via his Twitter account that he also intends to enter the NBA draft:
Thank you for all the support throughout the past 3 years, I've made my decision and it's on @thepositionless here: https://t.co/Mgy7o6n4TO pic.twitter.com/PcAso1XzLF

Dillon Brooks will go pro after a promising college career at Oregon. At 6’7″, Brooks has the ability to play either wing position at the next level and his knack for scoring should smoothly translate to the NBA.
Last year, Brooks averaged a rock-solid 16.1 points per game, however, this was a slight dip from his sophomore scoring average of 16.7. Despite the minuscule fall in scoring, Brooks was able to become more efficient and rose both his field goal percentage and three-point percentage to 48.8% and 40.1%, respectively.
The wing performed admirably as well during the Ducks’ NCAA tournament run that saw them reach the Final Four before being eliminated by the eventual champions North Carolina Tar Heels. Considering Brooks’ scoring ability and his NBA-ready range, the 21-year old could be selected in the second round of the draft come June.
