Sean “Diddy” Combs is the subject of seven new lawsuits, including five filed by The Buzbee Law Firm.
Of the seven lawsuits, one was filed on behalf of a then 13-year-old Jane Doe. On September 7, 2000, the 13-year-old reportedly attempted to enter the MTV Video Music Awards, but could not gain entry without a ticket. Later in the day, the 13-year-old allegedly approached several limousine drivers and attempted to make her way into an after party. Eventually, one of the drivers, who allegedly worked for Combs, agreed to take her to a post-award show party. Per the lawsuit, the 13-year-old was made to sign a non-disclosure agreement and and offered a drink. When the then 13-year-old began to feel lightheaded, she went to a bedroom to a lay down. While in the room, the 13-year-old claims Combs walked in with “a male and female celebrity.” According to the lawsuit, the then 13-year-old says she was raped by the male celebrity and Combs. After September 7, 2000, the then 13-year-old says she “fell into a deep depression which continues to affect every facet of her life.”
When asked for a comment regarding the lawsuit, Combs’ representation denied the accusation that he sexually assaulted the 13-year-old.
“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman,” attorneys for Combs told Variety.
Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits trial. He is being charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted of all charges, Combs could spend the rest of his life in prison.
