The Raiders have started the long way back from their 3-13 record without starting quarterback Derek Carr.
Carr missed Oakland’s first OTA practice today with an unknown injury. Carr, however, was at the teams facility and on the field with his teammates.
Del Rio had this to say about Carr’s injury,
“Time missed in May is better than time missed in September. You’re often more capable of taking whatever time is necessary to make sure you put things behind you.”
Del Rio didn’t say how much time Carr is expected to miss or how long he has had the injury but, it’s assumed he had for at least the last week. Teams are not obligated to release information on the injuries during OTAs.
Christian Ponder took snaps with the first team offense, with Matt McGloin and Cody Fajardo working with the backups.
