Today’s first match between Australia and The Nederlands was everything we hoped for. GOALS! The Nederlands brought the thunder first with a goal from Arjen Robben. Shortly after, the Socceroos’ legend Tim Cahill provides a cracker to level the playing field. And that is just the half of the war path. Second half goals from the Oranje’s Robin Van Persie and Memphis Depay sealed the deal, but not before Australia’s Mile Jerdanik scored on a penalty, which came at the hands of Daryl Janmaat.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the outcome Tim Cahill wanted since he was carded and will be suspended for the Socceroos final game in the group stages. Unless they pull off a miracle, this will be the last time we see Cahill in a Australia national team uniform. Check out the highlights below.
