Denzel Curry is back outside! The south Florida native has announced that his forthcoming project, King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2, will be released Friday, July 19. The project aims to honor the south’s unique Hip-Hop heritage while bringing attention to some of the regions fastest rising stars. Thus far, Curry has let fans know they can expect to hear contributions from Juicy J, Project Pat, Maxo Kream, That Mexican OT, Mike Dimes, 2 Chainz, Kenny Mason, A$AP Rocky, Ski Mask The Slump God and PlayThatBoiZay.
The project’s lead single, “Hot One,” features A$AP Ferg and TiaCorine. To promote the track, the trio made its way to On The Radar for The Mischievous Cypher. Alongside many of their peers, they delivered a live performance of the track. Within hours, clips of Ferg, Curry and TiaCorine made their way through social media.
“Man, Tia Corine [has] been doing her s—t for a minute. It’s [about] time everyone sees wassup with the [North Carolina] scene. [The] new track with Denzel Curry [and] Ferg is one of them ones,” one tweet reads.
“Denzel Curry is cooking with this new album. Man, this single is fire,” another tweet reads.
King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2 ends Curry’s two-year album break and sets the stage for his R&B-inspired album called Designed by Angels. Until then, check out “Hot One” below.
