ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Denver Broncos and Pro Bowl wide receiver Demaryius Thomas have agreed to a new contract extension.
Denver and Demaryius Thomas reach agreement on matching 5-year, $70 million deal that includes $43.5M GTD, per source.

Thomas’ deal replicates Dez Bryant’s new deal. Both Bryant and Thomas’ deals will fall well short of Calvin Johnson’s deal worth $113 million. The NFLPA was going to investigate the Cowboys and Broncos for possible contract collusion if the two teams didn’t reach long term deals with their star receivers.
Thomas is the Broncos number one receiver so keeping him in Denver long term was important to the team. After losing Julius Thomas to the Jaguars this past offseason it became even more important to keep Thomas in a Bronco uniform. The former first round pick from Georgia Tech caught 111 passes for 1,619 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2014.
