DC has long found success on the small screen. First with Smallville then more recently with The CW’s massively popular Arrow-verse. Well if you thought they couldn’t continue that success with the likes of Titans and Doom Patrol then I’ve got news for you. They already have.
Last year, Titans came out of nowhere and proved it’s first trailers wrong by receiving nearly universal praise. Critics and fans alike were skeptical Doom Patrol could replicate that success considering the team is comprised of the likes of Robotman and Elasti-Girl. However, the first two episodes have proved massively popular, they currently hold a 9.2 and 9.3 score on IMDB.
Even the show’s Twitter account got in on the fun Friday as the second episode dropped with a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes:
Celebrate like Robotman. #DCUDOOMPATROL is Certified Fresh at 93%. https://t.co/UfmudOyMOS pic.twitter.com/BZhM60SRv8

Doom Patrol follows the titular team of heroes as they investigate some of the weirder corners of the DC universe while trying to stop Alan Tudyk’s Mr. Nobody from destroying the world. The team is made up of Robotman, Elasti-Girl, Negative Man, Crazy-Jane, and Cyborg. With a strange mix of weird and witty, the show has endeared itself to fans around the world.
The first two episodes of Doom Patrol are available now on DC Universe with episodes releasing weekly on Fridays.
