The ACC has suspended Clemson Tigers guard David Collins for his flagrant foul on Duke forward Wendell Moore on Thursday Night. He will miss Clemson’s game on Saturday night against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The foul happened after a steal and fast-break dunk by Wendell Moore. The Clemson guard was ejected after the flagrant foul and the Duke Blue Devils would go on to win the game 82-64.

David Collins is an important part of the Clemson Tigers’ roster. The senior guard is averaging 10.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 2.3 assists per game this year. He is the team’s leading rebounder per game and ranks third on the team in points per game. He also ranks third on the team in assists per game and leads the team in steals per game. The senior guard is a vital part of the team.

Clemson is going nowhere fast in the ACC and currently sits at 12th in the conference with a 4-9 ACC record and an overall record of 12-12. This could be a break for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish heading into the game. They currently sit at second in the ACC with an ACC record of 10-3 and an overall record of 20-5. David Collins will return to action on Tuesday against the Florida State Seminoles.
