Variety has reported that Danielle Price will be the next executive vice president at Republic Records. According to the report, Price will help out with label’s “overall strategy, business development, and label expansion.”
“Danielle’s business acumen, creative vision, and extensive legal background are proven ingredients for a brilliant executive. Her fresh perspective and unique talents will be a tremendous addition to our team of extraordinary executives,” Republic CEO Monte Lipman told the outlet.
Price has worked in the music industry for more than a decade. After earning degrees from the University of Southern California and Pepperdine University, she worked as an attorney at Warner Music Group. From there, she sent on to work at LaPolt Law and 10K Projects. Along the way, she represented a number of top acts, including Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage and Megan Thee Stallion.
Republic Records is currently in a great position with its current roster of acts. The Weeknd, Drake and Lil’ Wayne are among the label’s growing list of clients. With Price at the helm, Republic Records looks to be on the rise as the summer nears.
