According to a report from Henry Abbott of TrueHoop, Damian Lillard wants a trade and may request one within the coming days. This news could come as a surprise to some, but perhaps the writing has been on the wall for Portland and their longtime star. Lillard and the Trail Blazers failed to make it past the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs this year.

Lillard has been the fixture in Portland his entire career and as one of the most exciting offensive players in the game, he’s given them some memorable moments. Dame Time is going to be moving and there may be more than just poor postseason performances behind the move. In the same report, Abbott claims that billionaire Jody Allen plans to SELL the Blazers.
Throughout the Denver series in the first round, Lillard averaged 34.3 points and 10 assists. In Game 5, Dame exploded for 55 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Nuggets in the series. Could the Oakland native end up on a California-based team or will he look for pastures elsewhere?
Lillard is in the middle of playing for Team USA and things aren’t looking great there either. Due to COVID issues, the second scrimmage against Australia has been canceled. The NBA keeps changing and being made different each offseason.
