Daishen Nix is the top point guard recruit in the 2020 class and is now down to five schools. Alabama, Maryland, Kansas, Kentucky, and UCLA are the five remaining schools on his list. Of interest is the fact that Nix does not currently own a scholarship offer from Kentucky but they are intrigued by him.
There seems to be no clear frontrunner at the moment but the fact that Kentucky made the cut with no offer does say something. Kansas and Kentucky are obviously the schools many are looking towards because of the prestige. It will be an interesting follow for a guy originally from Alaska, now living in Las Vegas.
Picking my top 5 wasn’t easy . There are some good schools , with great coaching staffs that are being left off this list , Washington , Marquette , and Arizona , just to name a few . pic.twitter.com/yr8uM9dVVf

Nix has great size, standing at 6’5″ with a high basketball IQ that helps make him such a great facilitator. He’s not a great shooter at this point in time but he has shown improvement over the past few years in this area. His ability to see the floor and make plays for others all over the floor is really the biggest draw with Nix.
His strength at 205 pounds while being 6’5″ is another huge draw and allows him to be a plus defender at this stage. He’s a solid athlete but not elite in that regard. His instincts on both sides of the court are what really stands out when watching him. His game should translate well to the next level especially as he continues to improve as a shooter. Whichever of the five teams gets him will be lucky.
