Three-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry and entrepreneur Ayesha Curry have partnered with the CarMax Foundation and KaBoom! to build a playground in the Oakland area. Also, the couple is helping renovate a local garden for elementary school kids.
“We were joining forces to show up at Franklin Elementary School in Oakland to basically renovate their entire playground and their garden, not only to renovate it and create this opportunity for the kids, but to let the community and those kids lead in terms of the decision making of how they wanted their playground to be and what’s important to them to build some energy and excitement around that,” Curry said.
“There’s a lot of shared values and interest between Eat. Learn. Play., myself, my wife and the CarMax Foundation. In terms of doing that amazing work in the community and have some fun in the process with this Call Your Shot campaign. Hopefully, people will enjoy it.”
What a day to remember! On Saturday, the #EatLearnPlay team was joined alongside our co-founders, @StephenCurry30 and @AyeshaCurry as we held our annual #ChristmasWithTheCurrys Holiday food and gift distribution in the safest manner possible. pic.twitter.com/I165Tv0T72

The Currys holiday giveback did not stop there. The couple also partnered with Literati to donate thousands of books to Oakland schools.
“Nothing is more basic, more essential, more foundational, or more important to a child’s success in life than the ability to read well. We know there is a lot of work to be done, but with partners like Literati, we’re hopeful that we will be able to make an impact on these children’s lives,” the couple said.
Stephen and Ayesha Curry will celebrate Christmas from Milwaukee as the Warriors play the Bucks at 1:30 p.m.
