The Washington Wizards narrowly beat the New York Knicks on Thursday. It was another in a long line of success for the team as they continue to make a strong run towards the postseason, now sitting at 23-19 and fifth in the Eastern Conference.
But the real story from the game came after the final buzzer sounded. Knicks’ shooting guard Courtney Lee explained why he passed up a seemingly wide open shot on the Knicks’ final possession – a shot that could have tied up the game in the dying seconds.

This is a fairly serious allegation from Lee. But upon further examination it appears as though he has a legitimate gripe:

Distracting players from the sideline is not actually an issue. But being on the court during the run of play, well that’s not exactly a legal move.
Everyone should expect this to be addressed in the league’s L2M report on Friday. Whether the league will take any more action is another question.
