Courtney Kemp is keeping things moving forward. As fans wait for the next season of Power, Kemp is making major moves with Lionsgate. Four months ago, Kemp signed a big deal with Lionsgate and now we’re hearing about her first project with the company.
Courtney Kemp is currently working on a new cop drama called Dirty Thirty with HBO under her Lionsgate deal. As described in the show’s tentative description, Dirty Thirty is “a story of a cop family and ends as the story of a crime wave infecting the highest levels of municipal government, corrupting the justice system and defining a city.” The show is based on the real story of thirty New York cops who engaged in drug dealing, extortion and various other crimes.
Power‘s Jerry Ferrara will serve as an executive producer for the series alongside Chris Selak and Danielle De Jesus. Ferrara may also have a role in front of the camera as well. There is no premiere date, but the series can be expected to premiere in the next few years.
