Collin Sexton has forfeited his remaining three years of eligibility and has entered the 2018 NBA Draft. Sexton was electric in his one season down in Tuscaloosa leading Alabama back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012. Sexton put on a show in the SEC Tournament almost singlehandedly winning a couple of games to help the Crimson Tide grab an at-large berth. Collin Sexton’s floater to win a game over Texas A&M will be one of his lasting impressions during his brief college basketball stint. The way Sexton played with an unmatched passion and fire is one of the reasons many have fallen in love with his game.

Sexton is widely projected to be a lottery pick in the upcoming draft because of his high-level athleticism. He is an outstanding on-ball defender at 6’3 and showed the ability to fluster many point guards out at the top of the key. Sexton’s will need to continue to develop his jump shot which is just ok as of now but he does have the ability to knock down shots. Many scouts point to his Russell Westbrook-like competitiveness on the floor and almost downright cocky attitude when competing as positives. His 40 point outburst against Minnesota early in the year will be remembered for how he almost brought his team back from a large double-digit deficit. This while playing three on five after most of his team was ejected for running on the court during an altercation. Expect to hear Sexton’s name to be called early as he is one of the top lead guards in this upcoming draft.
