Sometimes surreal experiences can inspire the greatest pieces of writing, songs, films, etc. When discussing Col3trane’s newest single, that appears to be the case. Influenced by an atypical house party that he attended at the YouTuber’s home in 2019, “Logan Paul” is a track that honestly discusses the lack of sincerity and authenticity that often exists at events in the hills of the greater Los Angeles area.
“Do they party when I’m not around? Is this house always upside down? I saw you pop a Percocet with a porn star. [You] took it to the head like a crown,” he sings.
“Do they party when I’m not around? Is this house always upside down? I saw you hanging with a kid with a face tat and he couldn’t even manage a smile. Yeah, I think that I’m the loneliest in the room. Everybody wants to be on YouTube.”
“Logan Paul” follows up “Plus Minus” as the latest track from Col3trane’s upcoming album, Lush Life, that is due out later this year. For now, check out the “Logan Paul” video below.
