
Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper will return to the Big Apple to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve with CNN. Throughout the evening, the two hosts will check in with a collection of special guests, including Patti LaBelle, Lil’ Jon, Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo, Roy Wood Jr., Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black. Not to mention, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will check in with the broadcast live from his residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Once the ball drops, Cooper and Cohen will get a reprieve. At 12:30 a.m. CST, Sara Sidner, Harry Enten, and Cari Champion will help ring in the new year from Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas. CNN reporters Richard Quest, Stephanie Elam, and Gary Tuchman will provide coverage from cities across the country.
The special broadcast featuring music, laughter, and live coverage from around the world will begin at 7 a.m. EST on December 31, 2024. At 2:45 p.m. EST, Laura Coates, live from London, and Boris Sanchez, live from Paris, will take over. Then, at 8 p.m., Cohen and Cooper will begin their work.
