More than 30 years after Child’s Play first terrified audiences in theaters, Chucky has earned his very own television series. With the show’s premiere nearing, USA Network and SYFY have showcased the first trailer from their upcoming project.
“In the new Chucky television series, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets,” the show’s synopsis reads.
“Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Teo Briones and Devon Sawa will lead the series when it arrives on television screens this October. Check out the first full-length trailer for Chucky below.
