For nearly a decade, the world has come to know Chlöe Bailey and Halle Bailey as a duo. From their YouTube covers to their critically-acclaimed albums, the sisterly duo has earned a co-sign from Beyoncé, racked up Grammy nominations and exploded onto the national scene. While nothing can break their sisterly duo, the Bailey sisters have used the last few years as an opportunity to branch out and explore their individual passions. Halle Bailey has landed a lead role in The Little Mermaid and teased several solo tracks. Meanwhile, her sister, Chlöe, appeared on tracks with everyone from Ari Lennox to Fivio Foreign while landing a role in the upcoming film, Praise This. Tonight, Chlöe is ready to take the next step in her solo journey by releasing her first solo album, In Pieces.
In Pieces is led by Chlöe’s two lead singles, “Pray It Away,” “Body Do” and “How Does It Feel” featuring Chris Brown. The project also comes complete with contributions from Missy Elliott and Future. Above all else, the album allows the accomplished songstress space to explore who she is and wants to become as a solo artist. In her words, crafting her first solo project felt like “creatively birthing a child.”
“I was working on that for three years,” she said when discussing the process of recording the project.
Chlöe Bailey will not only be releasing a new project this week. One week from today, she will star alongside Quavo and Druski in Peacock’s Praise This. Four days later, she will embark on her first solo headlining tour. While the world gets ready for what is to come, check out In Pieces below.
