Chiiild is back with a new track called “Eventually” from their upcoming project, Hope For Sale. Led led by Yonatan Ayal, the experimental duo out of Canada takes a more upbeat approach to this track about making up after a bad fight.
“Wh?re’d you go love/What can I do so you reapp?ar/There’s no point of storming off if were both sleeping here/We’re both wrong but if you want I’m down to take the blame/Whatever you want whatever you need babe,” Ayal sings.
With this release, Chiiild is now four songs deep into the rollout of their next album. While its still seven weeks from hitting streaming services, the duo provided insight into what it might sound like during a recent interview.
“The intention I think was — to break it down — lyrically, to be more conversational, to reflect the times [more]. A lot of the artists that I love and I grew up on are just like mirrors of society,” Ayal told Uproxx about his intentions for his next release.
“It’s beautiful because you see what’s happening, what’s trending in life, not so much just music, and you’re like, ‘Hey this is what I need to reflect, this is my reaction to that trend.’”
Hope For Sale will arrive on July 23. In the meantime, check out “Eventually” below.
