
The defending champions Chicago Sky informed Friday morning that they have activated the 2021 WNBA Finals MVP Kahleah Cooper as she finished her season overseas and has returned to join the team. In addition, they released Tina Krajišnik who was playing on a hardship exemption contract.

Cooper was playing in Spain with Perfumerias Avenidas where she finished third in the EuroLeague competition and won the Most Valuable Player Award with averages of 21.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 30 minutes per game.
She also won the Spanish League title and the MVP award with her team.

Now that her overseas duties are completed, she returned to join the Sky in their quest to repeat as the WNBA champions.
The Sky started the season with wins against the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx and losses against the Los Angeles Spark on opening night and the Seattle Storm most recently. The team will face the Washyngton Mystics on Sunday and Cooper should be available for the game.
