As the Chargers locate to Los Angeles the team was also searching for a new head coach. It appears like they found their next head coach in Anthony Lynn. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report the news.
Chargers now in contract negotiations to make former Bills interim HC Anthony Lynn their next HC, per team source. SD trying to get it done.

The move to hire Lynn seems to be an odd one, to say the least. He started the season as the running backs coach and was promoted twice within the season. Without those odd promotions, there is no way the Chargers hire him. Lynn, 48, did help the Bills lead the NFL in rushing this past season which made him a prime candidate to land the job. Anthony Lynn has been a running back coach from 2003-2016 for 5 different franchises.
Ken Whisenhunt will remain the team’s offensive coordinator. The Chargers will now need to narrow their focus on finding a defensive coordinator. Only time will tell if the Bolts made a wise hire.
