Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote has partnered with The New Georgia Project to host a drive-in voter rally in Atlanta next month. The socially distanced event will feature video messages from Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross, Janelle Monáe and Chris Paul. Also, Jack Harlow, Pastor Troy, DJ Drama, Rick Ross and Monica are set to perform. Celebrate Georgia aims “to celebrate those that voted early and build momentum to get those who have not voted yet voted out to the polls on Election Day.”
“Through the drive-in concert and early voting and Election Day activations across the state, Celebrate Georgia! will remind voters of their power, inspire voters to make their voices heard again, encourage volunteers and shine a light on the work happening on the ground in the Peach State,” When We All Vote and The New Georgia Project said.
The rally will take place within days of the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections. Rev. Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue vie to fill in the last two seats of the Senate. The results of the election will likely sway the balance of power within the Senate and determine the trajectory of the incoming Biden administration.
Celebrate Georgia is set to take place at the Cellairis Amphitheatre on January 3, 2021. Election Day is set for January 5, 2021.
