When Bryan Cranston’s Your Honor debuted in 2020, it was presented as a limited series. However, the show garnered such fan fare that Showtime elected to bring it back for a second season. Now, it looks like the possibility of a third season isn’t out of the question just yet. After bringing the show to Netflix, CBS Studios President David Stapf tells Deadline that he’s “hoping” the show can continue.
“We’re extremely proud of the show and knew how good it was…Having it air on another platform, we anticipated more people discovering it; audiences always find things that are good,” Stapf said.
“We love the show, and we’re hoping that it can continue, but it’s a little too soon to know or to tell. We would like there to be a Season 3 but we’re ways away.”
Your Honor is not the only show to benefit from a move to Netflix. According to Stapf, Evil, starring Katja Herbers and Mike Colter, is another CBS show that has garnered new viewers after moving to Netflix.
“The Paramount+ numbers of Evil go up because it’s getting additional exposure on Netflix,” he said.
“You’re exposing the show to that many more people, so potentially some of those people are new viewers, and then they, in turn, go back to watch previous seasons or future seasons.”
