
The Coronavirus outbreak is causing problems in and out of sports all over the country. College basketball is being severely affected just as its postseason is beginning to ramp up. The latest casualty is the CBI Tournament which has been canceled this season because of the virus. The CBI is the third tournament in terms of importance in college basketball.
The virus spreading across the country is affecting sports at all levels and is causing cancellations and events to take place with no fans. Conference tournaments in college basketball are announcing no fans will be in the stands this week. The NCAA Tournament will follow the same format.

All eyes now turn to see if the NCAA Tournament will still be played. Talks are being had whether or not the tournament should be postponed or even canceled. As things currently stand it is expected to be played. As for the CBI, the tournament is expected to resume next year in 2021 and continue as normal. The virus has created problems all over the sports world and The Gazelle Group felt it was unnecessary to play the CBI this year.
