Cautious Clay has announced that he has partnered with Toyota for the next installment of their “Den Tour” series. On June 12, Cautious Clay will travel around Philadelphia in a short bed truck pulled by a Toyota Tundra. At several undisclosed destinations, he will perform several of his best hits and some music from his upcoming album, Deadpan Love.
The Ohio native is nearing the release of his debut album, Deadpan Love, on June 25. It features a ton of contributions from artists, writers and producers like Saba, Daniel Nigro, Jesse Shatkin, Ammar Malik, Sir Nolan and Tobias Jesso Jr. Thus far, he’s released “Strange Love,” “Wildfire” and “Karma & Friends.”
“Deadpan Love explores the ways I cope with the worst of what humanity has to offer,” Cautious Clay said about his new project.
“It’s about opposites—having an outer layer that’s tougher, this “deadpan” state, and an inner layer of compassion, where you’re open to being there for the people you care about. It’s this warring compassion and cynicism that has empowered me to express myself through this medium.”
The final version of Cautious Clay’s “Den Tour” experience will stream live on June 30. While we wait for the live show and album release, check out his latest single, “Strange Love,” with Saba below.
