New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony has been suspended one game without pay for confronting Kevin Garnett in the arena tunnel near the player’s locker rooms and waiting for him outside the arena by the Celtics bus.
The NBA announced the suspension on Wednesday and Carmelo will be sitting out for the Knick’s next game against the Pacers this Thursday. The suspension was in order because Carmelo attempted to confront Garnett multiple times after the game was over.
According to Carmelo Anthony the two have spoke over the phone and cleared the air. Anthony has told reporters that he has moved past this situation and would not like to comment any further on the topic. With Carmelo out of the lineup the Knicks will have their hands full with a striving Indiana Pacers squad coming off a huge win against the Heat.
