Get ready to rage just a little LakersNation. Kobe Bryant has received so many mixed reviews. More than usual. ESPN stirred the pot by ranking Kobe stupidly. Worse than last year. And the conversations haven’t stopped.
You either love Kobe or you hate Kobe.
Carmelo Anthony. Loves Kobe. But when he committed to the Knicks instead of the Lakers, we all thought he did it because of Kobe. It always comes back to Kobe. But according to ESPN NY, Kobe wouldn’t be a problem for Carmelo. In fact. He would love to play with Kobe.
he “just felt more comfortable staying here in New York” and not because he had any misgivings about playing with Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant.
“Hell no. Of course not,” Anthony said. “If I thought that [playing for the Lakers] was the right situation for me from an overall perspective as far as having a team there, then I would have looked at that situation more in-depth. I just felt more comfortable staying here in New York. But as far as playing with him … I’m here now but I would always love to play with Kobe.“
“He wasn’t calling me every day and like, ‘Get over here! I want you here!’” Anthony said. “We had conversations about different situations whether it was in New York or in L.A., but it wasn’t to the point where it was non-stop calling or texting or stuff like that.“
I think we should cut Kobe some slack. Yes. He wants to lead. Nothing wrong with that. Safe to say he has the right. Who you going to give the last shot to? Carlos Boozer? Exactly.
Carmelo went with New York because he wanted to stay there. It was strictly locale, family and potential. If it was a Kobe problem, he wouldn’t have had the Lakers on his shortlist.
You all need to chill on the Kobe hate.
