Bryan Cogman of Game of Thrones Inks Deal With Amazon | Def Pen

Winter is Coming and a new season of is on the horizon. As the new season approaches, those behind the camera are making just as many headlines as those in front of it. Emmy award winning Game of Thrones writer, Bryan Cogman, has grabbed headlines recently with a major announcement. Cogman has agreed in principle to a new deal to create and develop content for Amazon Studios.

Co-head of Amazon Studios TV, Albert Cheng, celebrated the announcement by saying, “We’re proud to be in business with Bryan, who has written some of the most memorable and exhilarating television in recent history.” Cheng also added, “His storytelling prowess is undeniable, and we cannot wait to introduce his voice to our Prime Video audience.”

Cogman echoed Cheng’s statements by stating, “I couldn’t be more thrilled and honored to start the next phase of my career with Amazon. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to start writing.”

By joining the Amazon team, Cogman will be joining the likes Nicole Kidman, Jordan Peele, Robert Kirkman of The Walking Dead), Amy Sherman-Palladino of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Jill Soloway of Transparent. In the meantime, viewers can check out Cogman’s work on the next season of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
