LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. is reportedly stable and has been moved out of the intensive care unit after enduring cardiac arrest on Monday.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest,” a spokesperson for the James family told the Associated Press.
“Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.”
The details regarding the medical emergency remain unclear. However, it does appear that it took place while James Jr. was preparing for his freshman season at USC. Both LeBron James and Savannah James thanked the USC medical and athletic staff for the way in which they handled the emergency.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.” a spokesperson for the family continued.
More details will be added to this report as they become available.
