Former ESPN correspondent Britt McHenry has filed a lawsuit against several employees of Fox News for alleged sexual misconduct. The suit seeks monetary damages of an unspecified amount.
McHenry specifically accuses of her former colleage, George “Tyrus” Murdoch of exhibiting “volatile and unpredictable behavior”. She also accuses him of sending inappropriate texts.
She alleges one of the messages read, “I love pony tails and braids you look amazing and it’s a real turn on not that you care but I love it.”
I am standing up for myself, for women and for what’s right. I have maintained the same allegations because the truth doesn’t change. I feel for any sexual harassment victim who has their story and evidence dismissed, doubted and not believed.

McHenry alleges another message read, “The picture looks so good I would knock up the picture …. crazy sexy love your legs.”
Furthermore, she accuses Fox News of attempting to retaliate in response of a complain she filed in regards to the inappropriate behavior she describes.
After the lawsuit became public, she made a statement via Twitter. McHenry wrote, “I am standing up for myself, for women and for what’s right. I have maintained the same allegations because the truth doesn’t change.”
In response to the lawsuit, a spokesperson from Fox News issued a statement to The Hill.
They stated, “As we have previously stated, Ms. McHenry’s allegations have been fully investigated and we are confident our actions will be deemed entirely appropriate in litigation. We expect all of her claims to be dismissed.”
