Brandon Roy has suffered a setback in his return to the basketball court – and no, it wasn’t in a bowling alley. Roy will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee later this week, he has not appeared in any games for the Timberwolves since November 9th when he aggravated a knee injury he sustained in the team’s last preseason game.
There is no timetable for a return from Roy, and no word on whether this latest surgery (Roy’s seventh on his knees during his career) will ultimately force the guard to walk away from the game for good. Roy returned this season after initially retiring in December of 2011 due to the degenerative condition of his knees.
